Pitru Karyas

Pitru Karyas are essential Hindu rituals performed to honor, appease, and seek blessings from departed ancestors (Pitrus) to ensure their liberation and bring peace/prosperity to the family.

Pind Daan

Offering rice balls (pinda) mixed with sesame seeds, honey, and milk to ancestors, traditionally done at sites like Pisachmochan Talab, Manikarnika Ghat, and Dashashwamedh Ghat.

Pitru Tarpan (Amavasya Tarpan)

Offering water mixed with black sesame seeds (til) to appease ancestors, particularly during the new moon (Amavasya) or Pitru Paksha.

Teerth Shraadh

Specialized Shraddh rituals conducted at holy spots in Kashi to ensure the liberation of departed souls.

Tripindi Shraadh
